Anders Husa – Nedre løkka cocktailbar og lounge

Nedre Løkka Cocktail Bar & Lounge is a new place at the far southern corner of Thorvald Meyers gate in Grünerløkka (the old venue of Escalon).

The guys behind the concept, Kim Søyland and Jama Awaleh, already run several other bars in Oslo, like Stratos, Justisen and F6. The design of the place is inspired by New York, and the fact that Grünerløkka once was referred to as “Ny York” due to its grid planned streets similar to Manhattan. Andreas Gullbrandsson is bar manager and his drinks are also inspired by American culture, although with Nordic ingredients as well. Nedre Løkka is already open, complete with bars and lounges on two floors, and even has a section that you can rent for private events upstairs. Next year, the guys will open a pop-up kitchen, a back yard, and a rooftop terrace.
